Permalink:December 26, 2007 at 2:23 AMRUDY IS A LEADER. But Rudy is far more than the 9/11 Mayor. Rudy turned around the fate of New York City during a critical juncture of the city's history. RUDY is responsible for the"Renaissance of New York City" that occurred during the 1990's and continued under Bloomberg's stewardship. Bloomberg's candidacy was enabled by a Giuliani endorsement, the absence of which might have resulted, for all of Bloomberg's money, to a loss to Mark Green. Hillary flew into NY on her broom and has largely used NY as a fundraising base for a Presidential run. NYC has provided a platform to fundraise from the wealthiest zip codes in America, along Fifth Avenue, Park Avenue, Central Park West, Tribeca, SOHO and the Hamptons etc. The media capital of the world has served as an echo chamber for her candidacy and her fictional legacy. If the Republican Giuliani can weather Iowa and New Hampshire and reemerge as a viable contender, Hillary will have a serious fight on her hands in 2008. Rudy is the Republicans only chance, which is why Clintonites in the mainstream media are trying to discredit and disable his campaign and paint him as a radical. Rudy is a mainstream fiscal conservative and a moderate on social issues. Hillary's problem is that many Democrats will not turn out to vote for her is she is the nominee.
