There's the dilemma: one candidate who reasonably consistently takes the correct position - but who seems to disdain his conservative supporters; another who often deviates from the correct position - but who reserves his disdain for his left-wing antagonists. Is it really so surprising that so many conservatives should feel more comfortable with the latter than the former?
