Rudolph Giuliani accetta l'endorsement di Steve Forbes e abbraccia l'ipotesi di introduzione della flat tax. Mentre il New York Times sottolinea che nel 1996 le opinioni di Giuliani in merito erano diverse, noi non possiamo che apprezzare l'ennesimo passo di avvicinamento compiuto da Rudy verso l'ala più "liberista" del Partito repubblicano.

He's famous, as conservatives all know, for championing a flat tax in his 1996 presidential campaign. (...) Second, Mr. Forbes, when he ran again in 2000, underwent a transformation to try to make himself into the "family values" candidate in that race. Much less economics, much more home economics. (...) So, this is an endorsement from a prominent conservative with a foot in both worlds, when it comes to economic versus social conservatives.
